Will GroomLift Fit My Pet?

PawDeck™ GroomLift is suitable for appropriately sized cats and dogs weighing up to 10 kg (22 lb). A comfortable fit also depends on your pet’s body shape, paw size and natural leg position.

The stand combines a stainless steel frame and breathable mesh. Its eight leg openings are arranged in two rows, with larger openings on the outside and smaller openings toward the centre.

The dimensions above describe the stand itself. They do not represent the maximum body measurements of a pet that will fit.

Understanding the opening layout

The supplier’s diagram shows these gaps between the edges of the openings:

- 5 cm (2 in) between the two central openings in a row.

- 6 cm (2.4 in) between the rows of smaller openings.

- 9 cm (3.5 in) between the rows of larger openings.

These are gaps between opening edges, rather than distances between their centres. Refer to the size diagram when checking the layout.

How to check your pet’s fit

1) Check their weight. Your pet must weigh no more than 10 kg (22 lb).

2) Measure their paws. Measure the widest part of each front and back paw. Paws need to pass comfortably through the selected openings without squeezing or forcing.

3) Check their natural stance. While your pet stands normally, measure the distance between their front and back legs and the spacing between the left and right legs. Their legs should align comfortably with four suitable openings.

4) Check body support. When positioned on the stand, your pet’s body should rest comfortably on the mesh without their legs being stretched or forced into an awkward position.

Being within the weight limit does not automatically guarantee a suitable fit. Choose according to your pet’s measurements, rather than breed alone.

Always use GroomLift on a flat, stable surface and stay with your pet throughout grooming. Stop if your pet struggles or appears uncomfortable.
